Hawkshead Community Pre School

Set in the village of Hawkshead, in the heart of the Lake District, Cumbria, Hawkshead Community Pre School CIC is a Community Interest Company Pre School providing pre school provision and wrap around care children aged 2-11 years old. We are an independent pre school sharing a site with Hawkshead Primary School. We pride ourselves in our strong links and transition process.

We are open from 08:00 until 17:15 for 48 weeks of the year. We are closed for Bank Holidays. We are regulated by and registered with Ofsted.

We offer breakfast club (08:00 – 08:45) and After School Club (15:15 – 17:15) for children attending Hawkshead Primary School and all day care for nursery children from 2 years old.

We offer places for funded 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

What makes Hawkshead Community Pre School so special?

We are awaiting our first inspection as Hawkshead Community Pre School by Ofsted. We are excited by the changes that we have made and are looking forward to sharing our provision.

We feel our changes have had a positive impact on our children and families. We have received excellent feedback in our recent parents meetings and reviews placed on social media. We are proud of our ‘family feel’ pre school.
